The Poetry Hoot

When:
The first* Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM.  Get there early to get a good seat.
Doors open about 6 pm.

 Below is the complete calendar for this year's Hoot.

Where:
The Poetry Hoot meets at Cafe Espresso restaurant at 738 Islington Street
in the 800 Islington Plaza, Portsmouth, NH.  Get Map

Directions to the Poetry Hoot at Cafe Espresso:
Starting at the Portsmouth Public Library, go south on Islington Street, through several sets of lights.

Keep left, on Islington St., at the lights by the CVS pharmacy. Soon thereafter, turn left into 800 Islington Plaza. 
Get Map. Cafe Espresso is in the row of stores on your left.   There is ample parking in front
of the cafe. Coffee and light refreshments can be purchased at the cafe. Handicapped accessible.

Hoot Format:
There are two featured readers  and an 'open mike' immediately following, so bring your poem
and be ready to read. While at the hoot, submit a poem to "Poems from the Hoot"   Please limit your poem to 1 page

or approx. 2 minutes. Please: no announcements from the podium. We have a new Calendar listing page
