This year, we all need laughter, mirth, love, and Shatner impressions. We’ll be at Portsmouth Book and Bar again this year! Contestants will do their best Shatner impersonations and be judged on accuracy, originality, and bringing the sexy. It’s all done in good humor and as a fundraiser for the Seacoast Family Food Pantry.

Open Mic for Women’s History Month
Kendra Ford will be tonight’s featured poet in the Rice Pudding Poetry Series. Together with a group of “community readers,” including Tim Kingsbury, Tony Lee, Jody Blouch, Dave Drucker, and Pat Spalding, Ford will read poems on the theme of “light” selected for this event. Guitarist Woody Allen will also perform.
Featuring readings by Beth Ann Miller, Megan Leonard and Bill Stratton.

This months guest poet is Pete McDade, a local poet who has been characterized as “the best reader in Eastern Massachusetts”. His tenor voice and focus on the words he is speaking transfix his audiences. Pete McDade’s first collection of poetry is entitled, Columbia Thunderbolt. He is a member of the Ipswich Poetry Group.
