Richard Foerster
Richard Foerster was born in the Bronx, New York, and has worked as a lexicographer, educational writer, typesetter, teacher, and as the editor of the literary magazines Chelsea and Chautauqua Literary Journal. He is the author of six collections, including Penetralia, which received the 2011 Maine Literary Award for Poetry. Other honors include the “Discovery”/The Nation Award, Poetry magazine’s Bess Hokin Prize, two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Maine Arts Commission Fellowship, and the Amy Lowell Poetry Travelling Scholarship. He lives in Cape Neddick, Maine.
