Katie Umans
Katie Umans' poems have been published in Crazyhorse, Columbia, Indiana Review, Barrow Street and others. She received her MFA from the University of Michigan and was Halls Poetry Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing for 2005-2006. Her first book of poems, Flock Book, won the St. Lawrence Book Award and will be published by Black Lawrence Press in 2012. She also won the James Wright Poetry Award (for an individual poem) from Mid-American Review this year, selected by Rachel Zucker. She currently lives in New Hampshire, where she was supported by a State Council for the Arts Individual Artist grant last year.
