Bill Schulz
Bill Schulz is a native of Portland, Maine. He holds a B.A. in English from Hobart College, an M.A. in English from the writing program at the University of New Hampshire, and an M.A. in Theology from the Franciscan School of Theology. After more than 20 years as a healthcare executive in Maine, Bill returned to graduate school in Berkeley, CA to study the life and theology of Francis of Assisi. While there, he developed an interest in the nature of sacred space and place, which continues to influence his writing. Bill is a founding member of The Wicked Good Band, a Maine humor institution that has been foisting silliness on the unknowing citizens of the state for more than 40 years. The band has performed for The National Press Club, Good Morning America, and CBS Sunday Morning. Bill once sang with Tony Randall at a Eugene McCarthy for President rally – at which time, his musical career officially plateaued. Through it all, Bill continues to work on his poetry from his home in Portland, where he lives with his wife, Teresa.
